Customers of JPY come from the publishing industry - newspapers, printers, advertising agencies, etc - and from other sectors that make heavy use of graphic imagery - areas such as medical imaging, photography, architecture and marketing.

The term "workflow" covers the movement and processing of files from the beginning to the end of a job. This involves tasks such as moving files between computers and sites, processing images, networking, storing/sharing/cataloguing/finding digital assets, job accounting and printing or publishing on the web.

The technologies associated with graphic workflow are complex. For example, file sizes are extreme and networking strategies designed for general offices are rarely appropriate; implementing processes such as colour correction and rendering demands a thorough understanding of the underlying theory; high familiarity with products from manufacturers which are active in the graphics market (such as Apple, Adobe, Quark, MacroMedia, etc) is essential.
