PresSTORE gets 5 Star salute from Macworld

macworld_5stThe September issue of Macworld carries a review of PresSTORE by Richard Dyce. While short, it is overwhelmingly positive and heaps praise on PresSTORE's ease of use and powerful features. Not only did PresSTORE get five stars, in the pros and cons section, Richard failed to find any cons. There is no higher endorsement than that!

The truth about backup

tapes3In July, JPY embarked on an investigation into the backup habits of the nation. The good news is, more people than we imagined actually do back things up. The bad news is, if you have a Mac or a Linux box on your network, the likelihood of getting all your data backed up plummets.

Mail Robot X to be launched this year

MRXFollowing our July newsletter when we announced our plans to develop our mail management system, MRX, into a fully commercial product, we have been deluged with requests for our MRX White Paper. It is no surprise that workgroup customers experience the same problems organising their mail as we did. Legal requirements on mail archiving, personified in the US Sarbanes-Oxley act, have added even further impetus.

Canto Cumulus 7 launches

cumulus7July 13th saw the launch of Cumulus 7, Canto's leading Digital Asset Management software. New features include the ability to manage relationships between assets, so that images referenced in page layout documents are linked to them. Also new are automation features to enhance workflows with increased asset control, allowing faster production and more efficient collaboration.

PresSTORE Seminar success

ps_seminarJuly 20th saw JPY hosting a seminar on data management with our partner, Archiware. Josef Doods, Archiware's President, spoke at the event and explained the benefits of PresSTORE 2, and the latest features. The event was attended by IT professionals keen to learn strategies for managing data-backup in cross platform environments. The crowd included representatives from Apple, alongside consultants and IS managers.

Survey Prize winner

ipodprizeHeta Dobrowolski, a designer at Vivienne Westwood was the lucky winner of our survey prize draw. John Yardley presented Heta with a 60GB black iPod. Heta is a big music fan and this is her first iPod. Look out for other prize draws and competitions in forthcoming newsletters.
 

JPY makes national press

In a feature appearing in the technology section of the Guardian newspaper on 7th September 2006, JPY was the focus of attention. As part of the Guardian's "Free Our Data" campaign, the story was used to highlight business sector company's experiences with government department.
