We're delighted to report that Canto Cumulus 8 has been launched. A major update to this Digital Asset Management product brings a wealth of new features, faster performance and general 'polish'. Here at JPY we've been involved with the beta testing process over the last few months and are genuinely excited about what's on offer in version 8.

These are some of the highlights..

• Usage statistics and reporting - like Google Analytics for your assets, providing fine-grained statistics so you can distinguish the popular assets from the unpopular.
• Catalog by email - send an email to your Cumulus server and attachments are automatically cataloged. Allows cataloging from phones, security cameras, fax machines. Endless possibilities.
• Performance boost - orders of magnitude faster cataloging and updating of records within a catalog.
• Collaboration features - add comments, highlights and communicate revisions or approvals to other users right within the client application. Everything is searchable.
• License-free watermarking - custom visible watermarks now included in all product editions.
• Built-in image editor - perform every-day edits such as crop, blur and convert files right inside of Cumulus.
