Through this acquisition the specialist UK distributor, consultancy and software developer is now able to offer customers Java J2EE, Microsoft ".net" and Open Source web development alongside its existing portfolio of workflow, data-management and asset-management products and services.

As well as being able to develop bespoke web applications for our customers, we now have the in-house capability to customise "distributed" products from our own portfolio. Although "off- the-shelf" products like the Canto Cumulus digital asset management solution and HELIOS WebShare allow customers to "web publish" their assets far more cheaply than bespoke solutions, there can be a compromise on functionality. Now with the in- house capability to "customise" these products we can provide near 100% bespoke functionality at a fraction of the bespoke programming time and costs."

Workstation-backup product to include snapshot-support and de-duplication for remote workers.
London, UK, October 22nd - JPY today announces the launch of the next generation of Archiware's award-winning enterprise backup and archive product for Macs and PCs, PresSTORE 3.2. PresSTORE 3.2 includes a major update to Backup2Go, Archiware's data backup solution for both remote and office-based workstations. Backup2Go is the first product allowing businesses to both run and administer remote snapshot backups over the web. Backup2Go offers point-in-time restores via a few clicks in the web-based administration interface, allowing flexible backup of remote Mac or PC workstations to a Mac server. Backup2Go also offers data-de-duplication on the server to reduce the storage required to backup multiple workstations.

According to research carried out by email experts JPY, a large proportion of business email users are ill informed about email privacy. As many as 45 percent of users are ignorant of managers' rights to access their email, while 60 percent have email on the business system they would be uncomfortable with other people reading.
