Network and workflow specialists JPY add Arista high speed Ethernet switches to its range, to compliment its video networking strategy.

JPY Plc, today announced that it will carry the Arista range of high speed Ethernet switches. The high performance switches can carry data up to 10 Gigabits per second per port, with extremely low latency, over optical or copper connections. This is part of a strategic move for JPY to build a range of products aimed at servicing the professional digital video production market.

JPY has a 26 year history of supplying and designing high-performance digital workflow systems to the print publishing industry. Now high-definition digital-video applications are creating similar problems for the video production industry. Therefore JPY is building its portfolio of products suited to the large data management and networking demands of the video market.

The file sizes, network demands and general volume of traffic are stretching current networks to the limits of their capability. The Arista 7100 Series

The Arista 7100 Series is a family of low latency high performance L2/3/4 10 Gigabit Ethernet datacenter switches. Offered with 24 and 48 ports in a compact 1U chassis with redundant power and cooling. All ports accommodate the full range of 10GbE SFP+ or GbE SFP optical or copper physical layer options, allowing for maximum flexibility and investment protection as server connections migrate from Gigabit to 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The Arista switches also incorporate a fully extensible operating system that enables performance to be tweaked to exacting customer needs.

JPY will distribute the Arista Switches through its dealer network, and supply them as part of workflow solutions for the video production industry. Prices for the base model starts at £8,025.
