Archiware delivers comprehensive data security across Mac and Windows platforms

London, UK, December 6th 2011 – JPY plc announces the latest release of Archiware's award winning PresSTORE P4 software for Mac and Windows. P4 now extends its full range of advanced data management and security services to the Windows market, including new management tools that further enhance its capabilities and ease of use.

This backup and archive automation solution secures the valuable digital assets of businesses in the creative media, publishing and professional services markets. As laptop users increasingly work away from their networks, traditional server backups of client-server systems have become less complete. PresSTORE secured this increasing risk of data loss with its Backup2Go module for Mac and PC, automatically backing up new data to Apple Servers when laptops were connected.

P4's Backup2Go module now extends this capability to Windows servers, offering an all Windows deployment. A new disaster recovery feature allows files to be quickly restored to a replacement computer. Backup and restore can now limit Laptop backups to preset time windows, and when powered. Also new is Bonjour support for fast and easy server selection. Finally, archiving of disk backups to tape has been added to Backup2Go for maximum data security.

P4's user-friendly interface now presents all key information in one management window, and its Archive module includes multiple directories and files in a single archiving process. This new version offers multiple detail enhancements, including new licenses for virtual servers. Third-party support includes HELIOS UB2 server and JAMF Casper Suite. P4 is compatible with Mac OS X, Windows from XP, Linux and Solaris.

PresSTORE delivers a comprehensive solution to managed backup and archive complexity that's easy to use, secure, reliable, automated, fast and flexible. Web browser management from anywhere includes remote support for non-technical users. Expert users can also setup individual backup schemes and restore files.
