Storage specialists Archiware will show its PresSTORE data management software
Managing the ever increasing volume of data that businesses generate requires a robust data management strategy. The creative sector’s data storage requirements are estimated to grow by 300% over the next five years. JPY and Archiware are hosting a free seminar on July 20th to offer advice on coping with this growth and to demonstrate PresSTORE 2.
PresSTORE 2 is a modular data management system comprising of a backup, archiving and data-synchronisation elements. It offers a flexible solution for all kinds of situations and is particularly useful in creative environments where a mix of operating systems is used.
Massive amounts of data means full backups can take longer than the overnight or weekend allocated. This leads to scenarios where not all data is secured, or backups are done less frequently. Strategies such as disk-to-disk-to-tape, synchronisation and synthetic full backups can alleviate the problem. The seminar will cover different approaches to managing data, to avoid reaching the overload point.
Archiware President, Josef Doods commented,
“Badly designed storage strategies can clog the network, interrupt work and leave data unprotected. This seminar will show how all these problems can be avoided and data can be secured quickly without impacting the workflow.”
The seminar is aimed at anybody responsible for keeping data secure. It will be held William Goodenough House in Bloomsbury, London on July 20th. Further details and registration can be found at the JPY website.
