Cumulus Sites (EY)

• Cumulus Sites is Canto's new Web publishing technology, which supplants Web Publisher Pro. In addition to standard Web publishing capabilities, Cumulus Sites additionally includes:
   
  • "Cumulus-direct" URL technology, which enables Cumulus to serve thumbnails, previews and assets from Web pages.
  • Web collections, which are Cumulus collections that optionally include passwords and expirations.

• Cumulus Sites enables registered users and guests to access Cumulus Servers via Web browsers for secure asset downloads. All Web-published catalogs are "live," so updates are reflected immediately. Cumulus user accounts can be used in conjunction with a password-free guest login. RSA encryption (128-bit) is standard, and there is no license limit on the number of user connections that can be made simultaneously. (Cumulus Sites connections require no user licenses on the Cumulus Server.) Connected users can access any Cumulus catalogs and cataloged assets to which they have permissions to access. All Internet-accessible catalogs are “live,” so updates are reflected immediately. Cumulus user accounts are used for login. RSA encryption (128-bit) is standard. Each user connection uses one of the Server’s user licenses. Connected users can access any Cumulus catalogs and cataloged assets to which they have permissions access. Permissions options are based on the Cumulus edition in use - all permissions configured on the Cumulus Server are honoured.

Web Publisher Pro (EY)

• Enables registered users and guests to access Cumulus Servers via Web browsers for secure asset downloads. Autocataloging via AXR (EY, WG)

• Enables Cumulus to parse certain file types (InDesign, PowerPoint, etc.) and automatically catalogue any referenced assets used in the files. So, for example, when an InDesign layout is catalogued, all images, text and illustrations it references are also cataloged and linked to the master file.

Extended Permissions (EY, WG)

• This module offers real-time, rules-based permissions that can change based on dynamic circumstances such as workflow approvals, embargo dates or other factors.
• Individual record/ category permissions enable users to determine who sees what on a per-asset record and per-category level. Field-specific permissions can restrict the editing of certain fields to only chosen individuals or roles.
• Includes: Live Filtering, Individual Record/Category Permissions, Permission to Edit Field Values

Roles & Extended LDAP (EY, WG)

• Roles are groups that share permissions. When a user is added to the group, that user inherits the group’s permissions. Administrators save time by making permissions changes to the role, which affects all assigned users at once.
• Extended LDAP support offers access to all LDAP fields from within Cumulus, and enables Cumulus administrators to map Cumulus user accounts and roles to LDAP accounts and groups, avoiding the need to manage user accounts on two systems.

Extended Categories (EY, WG)

• This module enables users to create as many custom category tabs as they need, and to search within all category metadata to find certain categories. Combined, these capabilities make categories suitable for project management in addition to their typical use.
• Includes: Search Category Metadata, Reduce Category Tree to “found” Categories Only, Create Custom Master Categories

Oracle Connectivity (EY, WG)

• This module enables Cumulus to mirror catalog metadata to Oracle databases. The metadata can be queried from within Oracle, and because the metadata is stored in an Oracle system (in addition to Cumulus), corporate compliance requirements that mandate the use of Oracle are met.

Large Catalogue Support (EY, WG)

• This module provides support for Cumulus catalogs as large as 1TB (terabyte), which is valuable for organizations with extremely large asset collections, or those whose catalogs contain high-resolution thumbnail images. Catalogs are limited to 4GB (gigabytes) without this module.

Usage Statistics and Reporting (EY, WG, EP)

• Generates reports based on all statistics collected by Cumulus 8 Servers. In addition to reporting on catalog statistics (number of previews, print outs, mail to, etc.), reports can be based on Cumulus 8 Server activity, such as successful and failed search results, client connection rates, and more.
• Availability note: This add-on is not available for Cumulus Servers older than version 8.

Email Cataloger (EY, WG, EP)

• Enables Cumulus 8 to automatically catalog email and assets from a mail server. Users attach assets to email they send to a central email account. Cumulus 8 checks that email account and catalogs all email and attachments it finds. Attachment asset records are automatically related to the email asset record by Cumulus 8.
• Note: This product also enables auto-cataloging from a network location.
• Availability note: This add-on is not available for Cumulus Servers older than version 8.

QXP Extended Pack (EY, WG, EP)
