Expansion Licences

PresSTORE Media Management and Storage Licence Expansions
These are available to purchase in units of 4, 8, 16 and Unlimited
Offer full support for automatic media management for Tape libraries. In addition these licences enable the creation of Virtual Tape Libraries for use with Disk Storage. Disk storage slots (a virtual tape volume for disk storage) can be created to a maximum size 1000GB per licence.

A PresSTORE Media Management and Storage License (MMSL) can therefore be employed two fold:

a. It can be assigned to a slot of a physical changer device, tape library or other jukebox.
b. It can be used to store up to 1000GB of data in a disk storage slot (virtual slot for disk storage) in the file system on disk.

Consequently, when multiple MMSLs are available, these can be assigned to any number of changers or used in any combination of assignment to slots and to disk storage slots.
For example, a Single Server Edition comes with 12 units of MMSL. 8 units can be assigned to an autoloader and 4 units can be used to store up to 4TB of data in disk storage slots in the file system on any number of disks.

PresSTORE Media Drive Licence Expansions 

These are available to purchase in units of 1 and 2 
Required to support use of a tape drive.

PresSTORE Server-Client Licences

These are available to purchase in units of 1, 5, 10, 20 and 50
The Server-Client licence is valid for any supported server which exports, stores or hosts data to or for other systems, like file-, mail-, web- or database-servers.

PresSTORE Workstation-Client Licences. 

These are available to purchase in units of 10 and 100
The Workstation-Client licence is valid for any supported workstation or PC which does not operate as a server and does not export, store or host data to or for other systems. Customers who purchase Backup2Go, which includes 20 workstation clients, can use the workstation client licences in conjunction with Backup, Archive or Synchronise licences.
