Backup2Go Coverdisk License Registration
In order to activate and use your copy of PresSTORE Backup2Go, you'll need to do the following:
- Install PresSTORE on your OS X machine
- Access the web-based administration interface and determine your 'Host ID'. This is a unique ID based on the hardware of your Mac and enables the activated PresSTORE license only to run on this machine. It is possible to transfer the license however if you change the hardware or upgrade your Mac.
- Request and receive an activation code from Archiware.
- Enter the license into PresSTORE, including both the serial number and the activation key.
To get started, first, download the Quickstart booklet using this link
If you're not already installed the product, read the section '1.5 The Mac OS X Installation' to be guided through running the installer.
Next read '2 Signing In and License Activation'. This shows you how to login to PresSTOREs web admin interface. Once logged in, you can select 'About PresSTORE' from the help menu (see below) and your Host ID will be displayed in the 'About' window.

Now access the Archiware Portal registration page. You will need to create a new Archiware Portal account, provide your details and then you'll be send a confimation email with a link to click to validate your registration. Once done you can login to the Archiware Portal. Choose 'License Registration' to register your Backup2Go serial number - see below. From the next page select 'Register licenses for a new installation' and from here you'll be guided through entering the Host ID and the serial number that you have.

You will receive an activation key back at the end of this process which will allow activation of the product.
Remember your Archiware Portal login information in case you need to transfer or add additional licenses to your installation.
