Video Archive Tips and P4.4 news

Mike Szumlinski of Laurdan Inc, Archiware's US reseller, has published a useful post on his blog offering tips on generating 'thumbnails' of video and graphics files in PresSTORE Archive, using open-source software. This allows PresSTORE running on Linux - an increasingly popular option - to keep all the preview generating functionality normally offered by QuickTime on OS X and Windows.

New HELIOS products

19-20 April brought JPY together with the other worldwide distributors of HELIOS software. HELIOS, based in Hannover, Germany, is the developer of a suite of 'Unbreakable Servers Solutions' integrating Mac, Windows and Web clients.
